Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Hi, I’m Meg, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

It can be very frustrating to care deeply about your partner while continuing to have the same fight over and over again. Getting stuck in problematic patterns can leave you feeling misunderstood, unappreciated, or alone, and even lead to fears that you’ll never feel seen by your partner or be able to meet their needs.

I’m an attachment-based therapist which means I believe our early life experiences teach us what to expect from others and what others will expect from us. The adaptations we make to protect those early relationships limit the options that are available to us when dealing with conflict and make it difficult to understand our partner’s behavior. Exploring these adaptations without judgement and acknowledging how they affect our daily interactions allows us to step outside that box and make behavioral changes in our adult relationships. Understanding how our behavior is influenced by our history builds compassion for ourselves and our partners, gives us greater insight into our relational patterns, and fosters self-awareness and intimacy.

I can offer you a safe space to explore your concerns where you will be met with curiosity, compassion, and candor. It’s a privilege to support my clients in trying times and to witness their healing and growth.

What Makes Me Credible:

I use a trauma-informed, attachment-based approach to help couples rebuild intimacy, connection, and trust, and to help individuals heal past traumas and work to meet personal and relational goals. I am experienced in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. I believe in a collaborative approach to therapy using evidence-based treatments, including Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, and Internal Family Systems (IFS/parts work). I’m also available for Discernment Counseling for couples who are uncertain about continuing their relationship.
